PPR Pipes Technical DataAt the time of selecting fusion® PPR Flange Pipes & Coil Pipes for Submersible Pump following points are to be considered. Maximum Permissible Pump Delivery Head/Pressure
| HEAD A term used to define water pressure in vertical feet or meters. Converting Head to Pressure
Example - Converting Pump Head - feet - to Pressure - psi. The pressure - psi - of a water pump operating with head 120 ft can be expressed as: p = (120 ft) 1 / 2.31 = 52 psi Note: Higher Pressure rating pipes upto 800'/24kgf/cm2 and 1000ft/30kgf/cm2 are available on request. The delivery pressure of the pump should never exceed the working pressure of the pipes connected to the pump at the bottom as under: DEPTH CALCULATION OF BOREWELL AND PRESSURE RATINGS Let: d = Depth (feet) pt = Pressure required at top (kgf/cm2) ph = Head Loss (1kgf/cm2) pp= Pipe pressure Rating (kgf/cm2) Depth = [pp – (pt+ph) x 33'] For example: If fusion medium pipe of 3'' is used and pressure required is 3/kgf/cm2 at top. Hence D = [15-(3+1) x 33'] = 11 x 33= 363' So pipe can be lowered up to 363 feet. Note: Higher Pressure rating pipes upto 800'/24kgf/cm2 and 1000ft/30kgf/cm2 are available on request. |
